November is here and it’s time for the Gratitude Challenge! Did you know practicing gratitude can actually make you a happier person? It’s strange how something so simple can impact your life so much.

The Benefits of Gratitude

When we focus on gratitude, our brain releases dopamine and serotonin. These neurotransmitters are responsible for our emotions, and they make us feel happy. When we intentionally practice gratitude daily, we build neural pathways and strengthen them. As a result we become more grateful and happier as well. And who wouldn’t want that?!

According to PositivePsychology.com, practicing gratitude on a regular basis can:

– Reduce stress

– Reduce anxiety

– Reduce depression

– Release toxic emotions

– Reduce pain

– Improve quality of sleep

All those benefits just for focusing on gratitude? Sounds pretty great to me!
